The Uttar Pradesh government has opened applications for the UP Scholarship Scheme 2026-27, providing financial assistance to eligible students pursuing school and higher education. The scheme aims to support students from economically weaker sections and help them continue their education without financial difficulties.
Under the scholarship programme, students studying in Classes 9 to 12 as well as those enrolled in undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, ITI and other post-matric courses can avail themselves of financial support, subject to the prescribed eligibility and income criteria.
For the 2026-27 academic session, applications under the Post-Matric Dashmottar category are open until October 31, 2026. Eligible students are required to complete the application process through the official UP Scholarship portal and ensure that all details and documents submitted are accurate.
Students belonging to the General, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and minority communities can apply, provided they meet the scheme’s eligibility requirements, including applicable family income criteria.
The scholarship amount varies depending on the student’s course, category and residential status. For post-matric students, maintenance assistance can range from ₹230 to ₹1,200 per month. The financial support is intended to help students meet educational and related expenses during their studies.
Students planning to apply are advised to check the eligibility conditions carefully, keep the required documents ready and submit their applications before the October 31 deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
