The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the UGC-NET June 2026 results for 84 subjects. Candidates can now download their scorecards and check their qualification status through the official UGC-NET website.
The June session examination was conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026, across 87 subjects. The examination determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions and PhD admissions, depending on the candidate’s qualification category.
Along with the results, NTA has released the final answer keys and subject-wise, category-wise cut-offs for the 84 subjects. According to the available result data, 6,07,151 candidates appeared for these 84 subjects, with 1,47,579 candidates qualifying across the three eligibility categories.
English, Commerce And Sociology Re-Exam
Results for English, Commerce and Sociology have not been released yet. NTA decided to reconduct these three papers after an expert committee identified factual, typographical, translation, grammatical and other errors in the question papers, along with repetition of several previously asked questions.
The re-examination for English will be held on September 9 in Shift 1, while Commerce will be conducted on September 9 in Shift 2. The Sociology paper will be held on September 10 in Shift 1. Candidates will not have to pay an additional examination fee for the re-test.
NTA has clarified that candidates appearing for these three re-examinations may see an “Invalid Application Number/Password” message if they attempt to access their scorecards before the fresh examination. Their results and scorecards will be released separately after the re-examination.
Candidates who have received their results can download their scorecards by visiting the official UGC-NET portal, entering their application number and date of birth, and saving the scorecard for future academic or recruitment requirements.
