IP University Launches Online BBA, BCom Programmes

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) has entered the online education space with the launch of its new Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) programmes for students seeking flexible undergraduate education.

The new programmes will be offered through the university’s Centre for Distance and Online Education and will have a duration of three years. They will also feature multi-entry and multi-exit options, in line with the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020).

The first batch is scheduled to begin on September 15, 2026, while the fee for both programmes has been fixed at ₹15,000 per semester.

Digital learning and academic support

The programmes will be delivered through a SWAYAM-enabled Learning Management System (LMS), with support from IP University’s institutional collaboration with IIT Madras. Course content has been developed with contributions from university faculty members and faculty from affiliated colleges.

Students will receive access to recorded lectures, e-content, digital learning resources, mentoring and learner-support services. Weekly live sessions with course coordinators will also provide students with opportunities to interact with faculty members and receive academic guidance.

More online programmes planned

The university is also planning to expand its online education portfolio with programmes such as Master of Computer Applications (MCA), MA in Mass Communication and a PG Diploma in Healthcare Management.

The move is aimed at extending IP University’s academic reach beyond traditional classrooms and providing students, including working learners and those unable to attend campus-based programmes, with greater flexibility in pursuing higher education.
