IIT Kharagpur Outreach Network has launched the Texas AI Learning Centre in Houston, US, to promote AI education, skill development and industry-focused technological solutions.
The centre was inaugurated at the Tagore Centre during celebrations marking India’s 80th Independence Day and IIT Kharagpur’s 75th anniversary. The initiative aims to strengthen India–US collaboration in artificial intelligence, education and technology.
The centre began operations with a two-day AI certificate bootcamp, offering participants practical exposure to emerging AI technologies and applications.
The initiative is expected to create new opportunities for students, professionals, researchers and the wider IIT Kharagpur alumni network while strengthening global academic and industry connections.
