The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a fresh examination for 49 candidates who could not complete the All India AYUSH Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 2026 after a power failure disrupted the test at an examination centre in Jaipur on August 22.
The re-examination will be held on September 1, 2026, from 10 AM at the Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women, Jaipur. The fresh test will be conducted only for the candidates who were affected by the disruption and were unable to complete the original examination.
What happened at the Jaipur centre?
AIAPGET 2026 was conducted in computer-based mode across examination centres in the country on August 22. At Shri Satya Sai PG College Centre in Jaipur, 192 candidates appeared for the examination. However, a power failure at the centre disrupted the test, leaving 49 candidates unable to complete their examination.
According to the NTA, the disruption was attributed to M/s Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited, the agency responsible for conducting the examination at the centre. The NTA has also suspended Eduquity’s empanelment pending resolution of the matter and issued a show-cause notice over the lapses.
AIAPGET 2026: Examination numbers
In the first shift, 36,979 candidates were registered, while 35,837 candidates appeared at 200 examination centres across the country. The examination was successfully completed by 35,788 candidates, while the 49 candidates at the Jaipur centre were unable to finish because of the power disruption.
The AIAPGET was conducted in two shifts across approximately 205 centres, with more than 51,000 candidates registered for the examination overall.
Revised admit cards to be issued
The NTA will issue revised admit cards to the 49 affected candidates. These admit cards will contain the updated examination centre, reporting details and other instructions related to the re-examination.
Candidates have been advised to carefully check their revised admit cards and follow all instructions issued by the examination authority before appearing for the September 1 test.
