The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the application window for the CTET September 2026 examination till September 1, 2026. Candidates who could not register during the earlier application period can now submit their forms online through the official CTET website.
The application window was reopened on August 25 following the postponement of the CTET September 2026 examination. Candidates who had already successfully submitted their applications during the earlier registration period do not need to apply again.
CBSE has not yet announced the revised examination date. The exam was earlier scheduled for September 6, 2026, but the board postponed it and said a fresh schedule would be announced separately.
CTET is a national-level teacher eligibility examination conducted by CBSE for candidates seeking teaching opportunities for Classes I to VIII in schools including Kendriya Vidyalayas and Navodaya Vidyalayas. The examination is conducted in offline pen-and-paper mode through Paper I and Paper II.
Candidates who have not yet applied should complete the registration and fee-payment process before the September 1 deadline. Applicants are advised to regularly check the official CTET portal for the revised examination schedule and further instructions.
