Assam has taken a significant step towards future-ready education with the signing of MoUs between Samagra Shiksha, Assam and six leading organisations to promote Artificial Intelligence, technology and innovation in school education.
The collaborations will focus on key areas including AI-powered teacher training, digital skills, foundational literacy and numeracy, personalised learning, student assessment, girls’ education, creativity and design thinking.
Key partnerships include Google AI for AI-enabled teacher development, IIT Madras–Bodhan AI to train around 1 lakh teachers of Grades 6–12 by May 2027, LEHS–Wadhwani AI for AI-based reading assessment, Educate Girls for supporting out-of-school adolescents, EkStep–AXL for personalised foundational learning, and Canva Education for digital literacy and creativity.
The initiative aims to build a technology-enabled, inclusive and learner-centric education ecosystem while expanding learning opportunities for students across Assam.
