The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has closed the online application process for the Special Scholarship Scheme for Students of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh (SSSJKL) under the Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Protsahan (PM-USP) Yojana for the academic session 2026-27.
The scholarship scheme offers financial assistance of up to ₹3 lakh per year for eligible medical students and up to ₹1.25 lakh annually for engineering diploma holders pursuing higher education.
The online application portal was open from July 16 for Class 12 students and July 17 for engineering diploma holders. The registration process officially concluded on July 27.
AICTE has advised all registered applicants to complete their document verification by visiting their nearest Facilitation-cum-Document Verification Centre (FDVC) on or before July 30 to complete the scholarship application process.
The scholarship aims to support students from the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in pursuing professional and technical education through financial assistance.
