The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced a new security measure for the 2027 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations. From the 2027 academic session, students’ signatures will be printed on their admit cards to strengthen identity verification and prevent impersonation during board exams.
The initiative has been introduced as part of the registration process for the 2026–27 academic session. Along with student photographs, schools have now been instructed to collect students’ signatures, which will become a permanent feature on future admit cards.
According to the board, the move is aimed at enhancing examination security, curbing malpractice, and ensuring that only genuine candidates appear for the examinations.
The new verification system is expected to make the board examination process more transparent and reduce cases of impersonation across examination centres.
