The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced the Class 12 Supplementary Examination 2026 from July 28, offering students another opportunity to clear subjects they could not pass in the main board examinations held earlier this year.
The supplementary exam is primarily meant for students placed in the compartment category, while candidates who wish to improve their performance in one subject are also eligible to appear.
According to CBSE, nearly 1.63 lakh students were placed in the compartment category after the declaration of the Class 12 Board Examination 2026 results.
Students are advised to carry their admit cards, reach their examination centres well before the reporting time, and strictly follow all examination guidelines mentioned by the board. Candidates should also ensure they carry only permitted items inside the examination hall and comply with the instructions issued by the invigilators.
The CBSE supplementary examination provides students with an important chance to improve their academic record without waiting for the next academic session.
