The British Council has opened applications for the 13th Study UK Alumni Awards 2027, recognising the achievements of international alumni who studied at UK higher education institutions and have made a significant impact in their professions, communities or countries.
The awards feature four categories: Science and Sustainability; Culture, Creativity and Sport; Social Action; and Business and Innovation. Eligible alumni can showcase their professional achievements, social initiatives, research, creative work or entrepreneurial contributions through the awards.
Applications are open until October 15, 2026, at 5 PM BST. In India, finalists are expected to be announced in January 2027, with the national-level awards ceremony scheduled for March 2027. Global finalists and winners will be announced later in 2027.
Selected finalists and winners will receive opportunities to raise their international profile, expand professional and business networks and participate in a networking visit to the UK. Global winners will also be invited to reconnect with their UK universities and Study UK stakeholders.
