The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has commenced the online application process for IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026 (CRP CSA-XVI), inviting applications for 11,403 Customer Service Associate (Clerk) vacancies across 11 participating public sector banks. Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official IBPS website from August 1 to August 21, 2026.
The recruitment drive offers aspiring banking professionals an opportunity to secure clerical positions in some of India’s leading public sector banks. The participating banks include Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab National Bank, Punjab & Sind Bank, UCO Bank, and Union Bank of India.
The selection process will be conducted in three stages. Candidates must first appear for the Preliminary Examination, followed by the Main Examination. Those who qualify will also have to clear a Local Language Proficiency Test, wherever applicable, before final appointment.
According to the official schedule, the Preliminary Examination will be conducted on October 10 and 11, 2026, while the Main Examination is scheduled for December 27, 2026. Candidates are advised to prepare according to the latest examination pattern and syllabus released by IBPS.
To be eligible for the recruitment, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university. The prescribed age limit is 20 to 28 years, while candidates belonging to reserved categories will be eligible for age relaxation as per Government of India norms.
The application fee has been fixed at ₹850 for candidates belonging to the General, OBC, and EWS categories, while SC, ST, and PwBD candidates are required to pay ₹175. The fee must be paid online and is non-refundable.
To apply, candidates need to visit the official IBPS website, complete the online registration using a valid email ID and mobile number, fill in the application form, upload the required documents, photograph, and signature, pay the application fee, and submit the form. After successful submission, applicants should download and save the confirmation page for future reference.
