The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the complete schedule for NEET UG Counselling 2026 for admission to MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing courses under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) and other seats under its jurisdiction. Eligible candidates who have qualified NEET UG 2026 can register online through the official MCC counselling portal beginning August 5, 2026.
According to the official schedule, the registration process will remain open until August 12, while choice filling and choice locking will begin on August 6. After the completion of the registration and choice-filling process, the Round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on August 17. Candidates who are allotted seats must report to their respective colleges between August 18 and August 22 to complete the admission formalities.
The counselling process will be conducted entirely in online mode and admissions will be based on the candidate’s NEET UG 2026 rank, reservation policy, seat availability, and the preferences submitted during choice filling. Candidates are advised to carefully read the counselling information bulletin before registering, as admissions will be governed by the eligibility criteria prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC), the Dental Council, and other relevant regulatory authorities.
To participate in the counselling process, candidates must have qualified NEET UG 2026, meet the prescribed eligibility criteria for admission to MBBS, BDS, or BSc Nursing courses, satisfy the required qualifying percentile, and complete the online registration within the stipulated deadline.
Candidates seeking admission under their respective state quota seats should note that separate registration with the concerned state counselling authority is mandatory, wherever applicable. Registration through MCC alone will not be sufficient for state quota admissions.
During the registration process, candidates will be required to log in using their NEET UG credentials, pay the prescribed counselling fee, complete the application form, upload the necessary documents, and select their preferred colleges and courses. They must also ensure that their choices are locked before the deadline, as the order of preferences plays a crucial role in seat allotment.
Applicants should keep all important documents ready, including the NEET UG 2026 admit card and scorecard, Class 10 and Class 12 certificates, valid photo identity proof, passport-size photographs, category certificate (if applicable), PwBD certificate (where applicable), domicile certificate (if required), and other documents specified by MCC or the allotted institute. Original documents will be verified during admission.
Before announcing the seat allotment results, MCC will verify candidate information, validate the seat matrix received from participating institutes, and process seat allocation based on NEET rank, category, reservation rules, seat availability, and candidates’ preferences.
Candidates who receive a seat allotment can either accept the allotted seat and report to the institute within the prescribed timeline or, if eligible under the counselling rules, participate in subsequent rounds for possible seat upgradation.
Medical aspirants are advised to complete their registration well before the deadline and regularly check the official MCC portal for counselling updates, notices, and important announcements to avoid missing any stage of the admission process.
