The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has reopened the online examination application window for the CA Final November 2026 Examination as a special one-time measure. The decision has been taken to provide another opportunity to eligible candidates who could not submit their examination forms during the original application period due to confusion surrounding the revised examination cycle.
Eligible candidates can now submit their examination applications through the ICAI Self Service Portal (SSP) from August 1 to August 5, 2026, until 11:59 PM.
According to ICAI, several students missed the earlier application deadline following the transition in the CA Final examination schedule. The Council recently reverted to the twice-a-year examination pattern, with examinations now being conducted in May and November, replacing the earlier three-cycle system. This change reportedly led to confusion among candidates regarding the examination application timeline.
The original application window for the CA Final November 2026 Examination was open from July 6 to July 19, with a late-fee application facility available until July 22. To ensure that no eligible candidate loses the opportunity to appear for the examination, ICAI has decided to reopen the application portal for a limited period.
Candidates wishing to apply must visit the ICAI SSP portal, log in using their registered credentials, complete the examination application form, upload the required documents, select their preferred examination city, pay the prescribed examination fee, and submit the application before the deadline. Applicants are advised to keep their photograph, signature, category certificate (if applicable), certificate of service, and other required documents ready before beginning the application process.
Apart from reopening the examination application window, ICAI has also introduced an online exemption surrender facility through the Exam Functions section of the SSP dashboard. This new feature allows candidates to surrender exemptions, including permanent exemptions, entirely through the online portal, eliminating the need for manual procedures.
For candidates appearing in the CA Final November 2026 Examination, the exemption surrender facility will remain available until September 30, 2026. ICAI stated that this initiative has been introduced to simplify examination-related services and make the process more convenient and accessible for students.
Candidates are advised to complete their applications well before the August 5, 2026 deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues and to regularly visit the official ICAI website and SSP portal for further announcements regarding the examination schedule, admit cards, and other important updates.
