The Uttar Pradesh Government has announced a statewide school enrolment campaign beginning July 1, with the aim of ensuring that every eligible child is enrolled in school.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said the campaign will focus on identifying out-of-school children and bringing them into the education system. Emphasising the importance of universal education, he stated that “no child should be left behind” and called upon officials to work together to achieve full enrolment across the state.
The drive will involve teachers, local administration, village representatives, and community members, who will conduct door-to-door surveys to identify children who are not attending school and encourage their families to enrol them.
The initiative is part of the state’s efforts to improve access to quality education, reduce school dropouts, and strengthen the implementation of the Right to Education (RTE). Special attention will also be given to children from economically weaker sections and remote areas.
The government hopes the campaign will significantly increase school enrolment and ensure that every child has the opportunity to receive quality education.
