The National Institute of Design (NID) has started the online registration process for the NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2027. Candidates seeking admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) and Master of Design (M.Des) programmes can submit their applications through the official NID admission portal. The last date to register is November 30, 2026.
The NID DAT 2027 admission process will be conducted in two stages — DAT Prelims and DAT Mains. The DAT Prelims examination is scheduled for December 20, 2026, and will be common for all NID campuses. The Prelims score will be used to shortlist candidates for the Mains examination and will not carry weightage in the final DAT Mains stage.

How to Apply for NID DAT 2027
Candidates can complete the registration process by visiting the official NID admission website. Applicants need to register using a valid email ID and mobile number, log in with the credentials received after registration, enter their personal and academic details, upload the required documents and pay the application fee.
Before submitting the form, candidates are advised to carefully check the prescribed age limit, educational qualifications, seat intake, reservation rules and other eligibility requirements for their respective B.Des or M.Des programme.
