The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has officially started the registration process for the CEED 2027 and UCEED 2027 design entrance examinations. The applications opened on October 1, 2026, giving aspiring design students an opportunity to apply for undergraduate and postgraduate design programmes.
UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design) is conducted for admission to Bachelor of Design (BDes) programmes, while CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design) is used for admissions to Master of Design (MDes) and certain PhD programmes at participating institutes.
Candidates can submit their applications with the regular fee until October 31, 2026. Those who miss the regular deadline can still apply by paying a late fee, with the extended registration window available until November 6, 2026.
Both CEED 2027 and UCEED 2027 are scheduled for January 17, 2027, from 9 AM to 12 noon. Admit cards are scheduled to be available from January 1, 2027.
The registration announcement is particularly relevant for students planning careers in design, visual communication, product design, interaction design and other creative technology fields. Applicants are advised to check the eligibility requirements and examination guidelines carefully before submitting their forms.
