Health Ministry Mandates 80% Biometric Attendance for MDS Students

The Union Health Ministry has made 80% biometric attendance mandatory for Postgraduate (MDS) dental students across the country. The directive has been issued through the National Dental Commission (NDC) to ensure regular attendance and improve the quality of postgraduate dental education.

Under the new guidelines, all MDS students must maintain a minimum of 80% attendance through a biometric system. Dental institutions have been instructed to implement the system and ensure strict compliance with the attendance requirement.

The move is aimed at enhancing academic discipline, ensuring effective clinical training, and maintaining uniform standards in postgraduate dental education across India.
