The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 results for candidates who appeared in the examination. The final answer key for all five subjects has also been released on the official CSIR-NET portal.
The examination was conducted on July 17 and 18, 2026, in computer-based test (CBT) mode across India. A total of 1,87,739 candidates registered, while 1,50,057 candidates appeared for the examination.
The CSIR-UGC NET covers five subjects: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences. The examination determines eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions and PhD admissions, according to the applicable qualification category.
Final Answer Key Also Released
NTA has released the final answer key after completing the provisional answer-key challenge process. Candidates can use it to compare their responses with the final answers considered for evaluation.
Candidates can check their results and download the scorecard by visiting csirnet.nta.nic.in, opening the result or Candidate Activity section, and logging in with their application number and date of birth/password.
Qualified candidates can use their CSIR-NET qualification for the relevant JRF, Assistant Professor or PhD admission category, subject to applicable eligibility and institutional requirements. Candidates are advised to download and retain their scorecards for future academic and research-related requirements.
