The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) has announced the schedule for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (IIT JAM) 2027. The registration process will begin on September 5, 2026, through the JAM Online Application Processing System (JOAPS).
Candidates will be able to submit their applications until October 12, 2026. The official information brochure is scheduled to be released on August 22.
The IIT JAM 2027 examination will be conducted on February 14, 2027. The test will cover seven subjects — Biotechnology, Chemistry, Economics, Geology, Mathematics, Mathematical Statistics and Physics.
Candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree or will appear for their final qualifying-degree examination in 2027 are eligible to appear for JAM 2027. There is no age limit for appearing in the examination.
Applicants will need to complete registration, enter their academic and personal details, upload the required documents and pay the prescribed examination fee through JOAPS.
The JAM score is used for admission to various postgraduate programmes at IITs and other participating institutions, making it an important entrance examination for students seeking higher studies in science and related disciplines.
