Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Google to equip engineering students in Karnataka with industry-relevant skills and improve employment opportunities.
Under the partnership, students will receive training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and faculty skill development. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.
VTU also announced that Qualcomm, through its subsidiary Stem Lore Innovators LLP, will provide long-term training in AI, product prototyping, embedded systems, and the Internet of Things (IoT).
Speaking at the MoU signing ceremony in Bengaluru, VTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar said the collaboration will help make engineering graduates industry-ready and enhance their career prospects.
