India continued its remarkable performance at global science Olympiads by securing one gold and three silver medals at the 37th International Biology Olympiad (IBO) 2026 held in Vilnius, Lithuania.
The Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education (HBCSE-TIFR) announced that all four Indian participants won medals, highlighting India’s excellence in biological sciences. The prestigious Olympiad brought together 307 students from 78 countries, who competed in demanding six-hour theory and practical laboratory examinations.
