Prof. Arun Mohan Sherry Appointed Director of IIM Shillong
Prof. Arun Mohan Sherry, the founding Director of IIIT Lucknow, has been appointed as the Director of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong for a five-year term. The appointment has been made by the President of India in her capacity as the Visitor of the IIMs.
Prof. Sherry, who has led IIIT Lucknow since 2019, said his focus at IIM Shillong will be on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into research, data science, and business education. He also emphasized promoting globalisation in higher education by leveraging technology and strengthening undergraduate business management programmes.
The appointment marks a new chapter for IIM Shillong as the institute aims to enhance innovation, technology-driven learning, and global collaboration in management education.
