The Delhi Government has directed all coaching centres in the national capital to comply with mandatory safety regulations within one month, warning that institutions failing to meet the required standards will not be allowed to continue operations.
Chief Minister Rekha Gupta announced that the government is preparing a comprehensive regulatory law to strengthen oversight of coaching institutes, improve accountability, and ensure the safety and well-being of students.
Addressing coaching centre operators, the Chief Minister said that regardless of the number of institutes operating in Delhi, the government’s priority is the safety and security of students. She urged all coaching centres to complete the necessary safety compliance within the stipulated deadline.
The government has also encouraged students and parents to report any negligence or lack of safety measures in coaching centres through email, phone, or other official communication channels. Complaints received will be reviewed, and appropriate action will be taken against institutions violating safety norms.
The move comes as part of the Delhi Government’s efforts to strengthen safety standards in educational institutions and ensure a secure learning environment for students.
