School Students Promote Cleanliness Across Four States

School students from Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Punjab and Sikkim actively participated in a variety of activities aimed at promoting cleanliness, hygiene and environmental responsibility under Swachhata Pakhwada 2026.

The campaign encouraged students to take an active role in maintaining clean school premises and developing everyday habits that support a healthier environment. Activities conducted during the campaign focused on cleanliness, waste management, awareness and community participation.

The initiative also highlighted the importance of making cleanliness a continuous practice in schools rather than limiting it to special campaigns. Students were encouraged to understand their responsibility towards keeping classrooms, campuses and surrounding areas clean.

A key focus of the campaign was the development of sustainable school environments. Through hands-on participation, students were encouraged to understand responsible waste disposal, cleanliness practices and the importance of protecting their surroundings.

The participation of students across the four states also underlined the role of school education in promoting responsible citizenship. By involving young learners in cleanliness activities, the campaign sought to build awareness and encourage them to carry these practices into their homes and communities.

With the conclusion of Swachhata Pakhwada 2026, the emphasis remains on continuing cleanliness and environmental practices throughout the year and creating healthier, cleaner and more sustainable learning spaces.
