The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the timings for the CUET UG 2026 afternoon session scheduled on May 30 after a technical glitch delayed the examination at some centres. According to the agency, the issue was reported by TCS, the technology partner conducting the computer-based examination.
Following the disruption, the NTA announced that the afternoon session will now begin at 4 PM instead of the scheduled 3 PM, while reporting and entry for candidates will start from 2:30 PM. The agency said the technical issue has been resolved and the exam is being conducted with full compensatory time to ensure that no student is disadvantaged.
The NTA also stated that candidates appearing in the morning session are being allowed the full duration of the examination, and apologised for the inconvenience caused to students and parents.
CUET UG is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admissions to undergraduate programmes in central, state and participating universities across India.
