Rajasthan Governor Proposes Five-Year Teacher Evaluation

Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde has proposed a five-year academic evaluation system for teachers to help improve the quality of education in the state. Speaking at a national workshop in Kota, the Governor clarified that the assessments should be solely for academic improvement and must not affect teachers’ jobs, promotions, or pension benefits.

According to the Governor, periodic evaluations would help measure the quality of education being delivered to students and identify areas for improvement in the teaching system. He made the remarks while inaugurating the two-day national workshop titled ‘Healthy and Educated Woman: Empowered Nation’, organised jointly by the Agriculture University, Kota, and Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas (SSUN), New Delhi.
