In a major step towards strengthening international academic collaboration, IIT Delhi and Sorbonne University, France, have launched joint Master’s and PhD programmes. The initiative aims to provide students with access to world-class education, cutting-edge research opportunities, and international academic exposure.
The joint programmes will allow students to study under the guidance of faculty members from both institutions while working on interdisciplinary research in areas of global importance. Students will benefit from shared academic resources, collaborative research projects, and opportunities to spend time at both campuses during their studies.
The partnership is expected to promote innovation, knowledge exchange, and scientific collaboration between India and France. It also aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which encourages Indian higher education institutions to build strong international partnerships and enhance global mobility for students and researchers.
Officials from both institutions expressed confidence that the collaboration will strengthen academic excellence and create new opportunities for students pursuing advanced education and research.
