MP Launches Four-Day Orientation for Classes 6–8 Teachers

The Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has launched a four-day state-level orientation programme to strengthen teaching and learning for students in Classes 6 to 8. The programme, which began on September 28, 2026, is aligned with the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2023 and the newly developed NCERT textbooks.

A total of 153 members of the State Resource Group (SRG) from Mathematics, Science and Social Science are participating in the training. The sessions focus on understanding changes in the new textbooks and adopting more effective, experiential teaching methods.

The training includes practical classroom approaches such as using activities to explain fractions in Mathematics, electric circuits in Science and weather patterns in Social Science. Teachers are also being encouraged to connect lessons with real-life classroom situations.

The programme will also cover joyful learning, mental health, ethics and values, skill awareness, Artificial Intelligence (AI), DIKSHA and iGOT platforms, and lesson-plan development.

After the programme, 1,932 master trainers across 10 divisions are expected to be trained. These master trainers will then help share the new teaching approaches and textbook-related guidance with approximately 76,000 teachers across Madhya Pradesh.
