The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have extended the registration deadline for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026. Candidates who have not yet applied can now submit their applications until September 22, 2026, at 5 PM. The earlier deadline was September 15.
The CAT 2026 registration process began on August 3, 2026, with IIM Indore serving as the organising institute for this year’s examination. Candidates are required to complete the application process through the official CAT website before the revised deadline.
CAT 2026 Exam Date
The CAT 2026 examination is scheduled to be held on November 29, 2026 (Sunday) in three sessions. The examination will be conducted across approximately 170 cities. While registering, candidates can select five preferred test cities. However, depending on demand and availability, candidates may be allotted a centre near one of their preferred locations.
CAT 2026 Application Edit Window
After registration closes, the examination authority will provide a limited edit window for candidates who have completed registration and paid the applicable fee within the deadline. During this window, candidates will be able to modify only:
- Photograph
- Signature
- Test city preferences
Other application details will not be available for editing during this window.
