The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) has released the counselling schedule for AP PGECET 2026 for admission to postgraduate programmes including MTech, MPharmacy and PharmD. Eligible candidates can participate in the counselling process through the official APSCHE website.
According to the schedule, online registration and fee payment will begin on September 16 and continue until September 21, 2026. Candidates will also have to complete the online verification of uploaded certificates between September 17 and 22. The web options entry will be available from September 18 to 21, while candidates can modify their choices on September 25.
Candidates allotted seats will have to complete self-joining and report to their respective institutes between September 30 and October 3, 2026. Classes for the MTech, MPharmacy and PharmD programmes are scheduled to commence from September 30.
GATE and GPAT Candidates to Get First Preference
The admission process will give first preference to candidates who have qualified GATE or GPAT in the relevant discipline, based on their scores. Any remaining vacant seats after this allocation will be offered to qualified AP PGECET 2026 candidates according to merit.
For the counselling process, candidates are required to meet the prescribed eligibility criteria. Applicants generally need a relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution, with 50% marks for general candidates and 45% for reserved-category candidates. The admission framework also provides for 85% local seats and 15% unreserved seats as per Andhra Pradesh rules.
Candidates are advised to carefully check the counselling schedule, complete certificate verification within the specified dates and exercise their web options before the deadline.
