The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised the schedule for the Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ Tier-I Examination 2026. According to the latest update, the computer-based examination will now be conducted from September 9 to September 15, 2026. The exam was earlier scheduled from September 9 to September 12.
Along with the revised schedule, SSC has also released the exam city intimation slip for registered candidates. The slip was made available on September 1, 2026, through the official SSC website. Candidates can log in using their required credentials to check their allotted examination city and related details.

Admit Card Update
The SSC Stenographer 2026 admit cards will be released separately. According to the latest information, the admission certificates are expected to be made available approximately two to three days before the respective examination date. Candidates should therefore regularly check the official SSC portal and their regional SSC website for updates.
Important Update for Candidates Using Own Scribe Facility
SSC has also issued instructions for candidates opting for the ‘Own Scribe’ facility. Earlier scribe registrations made before November 5, 2025, have been closed, and eligible candidates are required to complete a fresh scribe registration.
The new registration process is linked with Aadhaar authentication. Candidates must provide their scribe’s registration number for generating the Entry Pass. The One-Time Registration (OTR) mapping for the scribe must be completed by September 7, 2026, up to 11 PM. Entry Passes will be generated only after successful OTR mapping.
Candidates Advised to Check Details Carefully
With the examination schedule revised, candidates should carefully verify the exam date, city, reporting time and other instructions mentioned in their official documents. The city intimation slip is intended to provide advance information about the examination location; candidates should wait for the official admit card for complete centre and entry details.
