The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has declared the UPTET 2026 results on August 27, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test can now check their results through the official UPESSC website using their examination credentials.
Nearly 19.95 lakh candidates registered for the UPTET 2026 examination, which was conducted on July 2, 3 and 4 across 955 examination centres in 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh. The examination was held in five shifts over three days.
At the primary level for Classes 1 to 5, a total of 7,13,648 candidates appeared, of whom 5,71,435 candidates qualified, recording a pass percentage of 80.07%.
For the upper-primary level covering Classes 6 to 8, 10,57,021 candidates appeared, while 7,59,513 candidates cleared the examination, resulting in a pass percentage of 71.85%.
The results also include a significant number of working teachers who appeared for the eligibility test. At the primary level, 1,22,405 working teachers appeared, with 93,387 qualifying. At the upper-primary level, 1,46,394 working teachers appeared, of whom 1,13,384 cleared the examination.
UPESSC said the results were prepared using the prescribed normalisation process mentioned in the examination notification. The commission also stated that the examination was conducted in a fair, transparent and secure manner across the state.
Candidates who have qualified can now use their UPTET qualification for teaching-related recruitment opportunities, subject to the eligibility criteria and recruitment rules applicable to individual posts.
