Bihar Launches 24×7 Vidya Saathi Platform

The Bihar government has launched ‘Bihar Vidya Saathi’, a free 24×7 interactive learning platform designed to provide personalised academic support to students of Classes 9 to 12. The initiative has initially been rolled out across 700 Saraswati Vidya Niketan model schools in all 38 districts, benefiting around three lakh students.

Under the programme, students can connect with live teachers at any time to clarify academic doubts and receive one-to-one guidance. Around 75,000 teachers are expected to provide personalised academic assistance through the platform. Students can choose teachers according to their requirements and interact with them individually.

For students of Classes 9 and 10, the platform will provide support across subjects. Students in Classes 11 and 12 in the science stream will receive additional digital study materials for Bihar Board examinations as well as preparation for competitive exams such as JEE and NEET.

The platform will also incorporate AI-based tools for concept learning, along with digital resources and unlimited opportunities for study and practice. The objective is to allow students to get their doubts resolved while studying rather than relying only on classroom hours or scheduled doubt-clearing sessions.

The launch is part of Bihar’s wider effort to expand free JEE and NEET preparation for government-school students. Earlier, the Bihar School Examination Board expanded free coaching to 155 selected model schools, providing subject-wise lessons, study materials and doubt-clearing support.

The government plans to expand Vidya Saathi to more schools across Bihar in the future, potentially giving more students access to round-the-clock academic guidance and digital learning resources.
