CBSE Opens Class 10 Post-Result Process

CBSE Opens Class 10 Post-Result Process

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced the post-result process for students who appeared in the Class 10 Main Board Examination and the Second Board Examination 2026. The process enables students to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer books, apply for verification of marks, and request re-evaluation if they are not satisfied with their results. The initiative aims to ensure greater transparency and provide students with an opportunity to review their evaluated answer scripts.

According to the official notification issued by CBSE on August 5, the post-result process will be carried out in three stages. The first stage allows students to apply for scanned copies of their evaluated answer books from August 5 to August 9, by paying a fee of ₹300 per subject. The board has advised students to carefully examine the scanned copies before deciding whether to seek verification of marks or re-evaluation.

The second phase will begin from August 16 to August 19, during which students can apply for verification of marks, re-evaluation, or both. CBSE has clarified that the verification process is limited to checking whether any answer has been left unevaluated, whether there are errors in the totaling of marks, or if there has been any mistake while transferring marks to the final score. Students seeking re-evaluation can choose specific questions for review, and the revised marks—whether increased, decreased, or unchanged—will be treated as final.

The board has also announced the applicable fees for these services. Students will have to pay ₹300 per answer book for verification of marks, while re-evaluation will cost ₹100 per question, including all its sub-parts. Those opting for both services will be required to pay the prescribed fee separately for each process.

CBSE has reminded students that all applications must be submitted online within the specified dates through the official portal. Offline applications will not be accepted under any circumstances. Students are advised to complete the process within the deadlines and carefully follow the official guidelines to avoid missing the opportunity for verification or re-evaluation.

The Class 10 Main Board Examination 2026 results were declared on April 15, while the Second Board Examination results were announced on July 18. The board has encouraged students to make informed decisions after reviewing their answer books and to rely only on the official CBSE website for authentic updates and notifications.
