The HTET 2026 examination was conducted on July 4 and 5, 2026, in offline (pen-and-paper) mode at examination centres across Haryana. The examination was held in multiple shifts for all three teaching levels. HTET serves as an important eligibility examination for candidates aspiring to become teachers in government and private schools across the state.
This year witnessed a massive participation, with 2,33,294 candidates registering for the examination. Among them, 1,66,137 were women and 67,157 were men, reflecting the growing interest in teaching careers. The PGT examination was conducted at 238 examination centres for 73,091 candidates, while the TGT examination was held at 383 centres with 1,19,141 candidates appearing. The PRT examination was conducted at 139 centres for 41,062 candidates.
Candidates are advised to carefully verify all the details mentioned on their scorecards after downloading them. The release of the final answer key also provides transparency in the evaluation process, allowing candidates to compare their responses with the officially accepted answers. Those who have qualified the examination will now become eligible to apply for various teaching positions in schools as per the recruitment rules notified by the Haryana Government and other recruiting agencies.
Candidates are encouraged to download and keep a copy of their scorecard safely for future recruitment and document verification purposes. They should also continue visiting the official HTET website for further updates regarding certificates and future recruitment notifications.
