Maharashtra Focuses on Future-Ready Skills

The Maharashtra Government has announced that it will introduce a Bill to regulate private coaching classes during the next session of the State Legislature.

School Education Minister Dada Bhuse said the proposed legislation aims to bring greater transparency and accountability to the private coaching sector while safeguarding students’ interests.

The government also reaffirmed its commitment to implementing the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, with a stronger emphasis on skill-based education, vocational learning, and industry partnerships. The initiative aims to equip students with practical skills and improve their employability by strengthening collaboration between educational institutions and industries.

The move is expected to promote a more balanced education system by combining academic learning with real-world skills while ensuring better regulation of private coaching institutes across the state.
