Madras High Court Upholds Fee Display Rule for Private Schools
The Madras High Court has refused to stay a government circular directing private schools in Tamil Nadu to publicly display their approved fee structure on school notice boards and official websites.
The order came while hearing a petition challenging the June 1 circular. With the court declining interim relief, the directive remains in force, aiming to improve transparency in fee collection and help parents verify school fees before admission.
The move is expected to strengthen accountability and ensure greater clarity for parents during the admission process.
