Assam Government Reshuffles Leadership at GMCH and Nalbari Medical College
The Assam Government has transferred Prof. (Dr.) Achyut Chandra Baishya from Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) to Nalbari Medical College and Hospital with immediate effect.
According to an official notification issued by the Medical Education and Research Department, Prof. Baishya, who was serving as Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent (in-charge) of GMCH, has now been appointed to the same position at Nalbari Medical College until further orders.
Meanwhile, Prof. (Dr.) Babul Kumar Bezbaruah, Professor of Pharmacology at Nalbari Medical College, has been appointed as the new Principal-cum-Chief Superintendent (in-charge) of GMCH. Both officials have been relieved of their previous responsibilities to assume their new assignments immediately.
