Punjab to Introduce AI Curriculum in Government Schools from August
The Punjab Government has announced that an Artificial Intelligence (AI) curriculum will be introduced in all government schools across the state from August 2026. The initiative aims to equip students with future-ready digital skills and prepare them for a technology-driven world.
Punjab Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains said the AI curriculum has been under development for the past year and is now ready for statewide implementation. The government also interacted with students to gather feedback on the examination system, curriculum, and teaching methods as part of broader education reforms.
The move is expected to strengthen digital learning, encourage innovation, and make classrooms more future-focused across Punjab.
