Meghalaya Reviews Preparations for NEET-UG 2026 Re-Examination

The Meghalaya government on Friday conducted a high-level review meeting to assess preparedness for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination, scheduled to be held on June 21 across the state.

The meeting, chaired by Health & Family Welfare Secretary B. Mawlong at the Additional Secretariat in Shillong, reviewed arrangements made by district administrations hosting examination centres. Officials discussed security measures, transportation, uninterrupted power supply, deployment of personnel, and other logistical requirements to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.

Meghalaya has designated 14 examination centres for the re-test, including 10 in Shillong, two in Tura, one in Jowai, and one at the NEPA campus near Umiam in Ri-Bhoi district. A total of 4,164 candidates are expected to appear for the examination.

Officials expressed confidence that all necessary arrangements are in place to ensure a peaceful, secure, and hassle-free examination environment for candidates across the state.
