The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released the detailed timetable for the CA Foundation and Intermediate examinations scheduled for January 2027. Candidates can check the schedule and examination-related instructions through the official ICAI website. The Indian Express
For CA Intermediate, the examinations will be conducted in two groups. Group 1 papers are scheduled for January 2, 4 and 6, 2027, while Group 2 exams will be held on January 8, 10 and 12. The CA Foundation examinations will take place on January 3, 5, 7 and 9, 2027. The Indian Express
All Foundation and Intermediate examinations will begin at 2 pm. Foundation Papers 1 and 2 and all Intermediate papers will have a duration of three hours, while Foundation Papers 3 and 4 will be conducted for two hours. Candidates will also receive 15 minutes of advance reading time, from 1:45 pm to 2 pm, except for Foundation Papers 3 and 4. The Indian Express
The online examination application window will open on November 3, 2026. Candidates can submit their forms without a late fee until November 16. Applications submitted from November 17 to 19 will attract a late fee of ₹600 for Indian and Kathmandu centres and US$10 for overseas centres. The Indian Express
Candidates will also be given a correction window from November 20 to 22 to make changes to their examination city or medium. Applications are to be submitted online through ICAI’s Self Service Portal (SSP). The Indian Express
The January 2027 examinations will be conducted across 207 cities in India, along with overseas centres in Bahrain, Dubai and Kathmandu. Candidates appearing for the Foundation and Intermediate examinations can answer their papers in either English or Hindi. The Indian Express
ICAI has also clarified that the examination schedule will not be changed if an examination day is declared a public holiday by the Central or state government or a local authority. Candidates are therefore advised to plan their preparation according to the announced timetable.
